Maria Giusti is a Research Fellow within the Law Department of the University of Verona, under the research project “Le responsabilità delle piattaforme digitali: inquadramento concettuale e soluzioni operative”.
She holds a Ph.D. from IMT School of Advanced Studies, under the supervision of prof. Lorenzo Casini. Her thesis investigates the State action aimed at promoting the audio-visual sector between Italy and France. Due to the comparative nature of her analysis, she spent a visiting period at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University of Paris.
Upon finishing her Ph.D., she started working at the Legislative Office of the Italian Ministry of Culture, where she primarily dealt with the transposition of the European Copyright Directive and the realization of the social security reform for the workers of the entrainment sector. Meanwhile, she also worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Political Science of the Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome.
Previously, Maria graduated cum laude in Administrative Law at the University La Sapienza of Rome under the supervision of prof. Marco D’Alberti. After graduation, she got an internship at the Bank of Italy, within the Technical Secretariat of the Banking and Financial Arbitrator of the Rome College.
Maria has been an IRPA member since October 2021.
