The article analyses the state of implementation of gender measures in public administrations, questioning, above all, the reasons for the persistent lack of equality in top positions in administrations and some dysfunctionalities. In particular, the analysis focuses on the evolution of gender policies in the administrative apparatus, considering its main aspects; examines the planned gender equality measures in relation to the activities of public administrations, especially in the light of the (Italian) National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Nrp); and finally, identifies trends and possible perspectives.
