The 2020 Constitutional Chronicles briefly review the main political-institutional events occurring in Italy in 2020. Particular attention is paid to the Covid-19 epidemiological emergency and to the urgent measures adopted by the Government to contain the spread of infections and to stem the negative effects of the pandemic on the economic and social levels. Another important development is the confirmatory referendum that, in September, led to the approval of Constitutional Law No. 1/2020, reducing the number of parliamentarians. Furthermore, the contribution includes data on constitutional case law, with notes to the main decisions; the results of regional elections; and information on the activity of the President of the Republic.
